We won Second Place for Best Use of Computer Vision Award at TartanHacks 2025!
I’m excited to share that last week, I participated in my first-ever hackathon, CMU TartanHacks 2025—and our team took Second Place for Best Use of Computer Vision with PhantomPen! Teaming up with Colleen Que, Hsueh-Han Yang, and I, we developed this application in 24 hours that enables users to draw e-signatures in the air as a contactless authentication system.
CMU’s largest hackathon, TartanHacks, hosted by ScottyLabs, featured 176 projects, 775 hackers, and participants from 37 colleges this year—making the competition incredibly exciting and intense.
PhantomPen leverages AI-powered authentication to not only capture air-drawn signatures but also securely verify them, redefining biometric authentication and making document signing more seamless than ever.
